The World Order in 2019 (III)

The US is facing 2019 as the run-up to the 2020 presidential election where Trump’s presidency could end or be extended for another four years. The main issues on the country’s political agenda are:

1.- Increased internal political tension due to blocked legislation, the on-going investigation into the Russian story and the proximity of the presidential election.

2.- The trade war with China and their military clashes in some areas of the Asia-Pacific region.

3.- The Democratic Party’s search for candidates for the 2020 presidential election.

Meanwhile, China continues to move ahead with its bid to become a world superpower, but 2019 is of very special significance because it is the 70th anniversary of the People’s Revolution. So what will define China in 2019 will be the following factors:

1.- The trade war with the US that has also moved to the field of technology.

2.- The fight for hegemony in the South China Sea with its hottest spot being the Taiwan Strait.

3.- China is coming up with a diplomatic and trade initiative to secure alliances across the planet along the new Silk Road megaproject, stretching from Southeast China to the United Kingdom through Africa and the Middle East .

Addendum: For the time being, no one knows what will happen in the next few years, but what is undeniable is that the New World Order will create a new reality not only globally, but also in the family and domestic domain, and that it will bring about a new version of the human being who perhaps will be less individualistic, less narcissistic, less misogynist and more generous.
